The weather forecast had already threatened that it would rain on Sunday of the San Marino Grand Prix. And that's exactly what happened. Although not crash-less, but still able to ride, Alex De Angelis reached the finish line of his home race in the fabulous 12th place. The 33-year-old guest starter of the Dynavolt Intact GP team first destroyed his windshield after a near high-sider at the beginning of the San Marino thriller. Later on, he crashed trying to catch up with Stefano Manzi, but could continue. Finally, he even became 12fth and finished off a very positive weekend with the racing team from Memmingen.Alex De Angelis #15 (12th): "I am happy to have made it into classification after the crash, because I still got some points and that is important for me and for the team also. I believe I did a good job this weekend, I gave them a lot of information and focused on helping them to develop the bike. I am sorry for the crash during the race. We knew from this morning, that the asphalt condition was terrible. I was trying to get a top ten result in that moment, I didn't push too much, but today it was so easy to go over the limit and crash. Unfortunately I made this mistake, but I'm happy I was able to re-join the race and bring home some points. The team I worked with this weekend is really nice and super professional and I enjoyed to ride for them and would like to thank everybody."
